Rules: Each player gets five minutes per side. You earn two points for a checkmate, one point for a win on time (but you must have the pieces to checkmate), and half a point for a draw. Castling is required, and the four-move checkmate is not allowed. In the first round, players will be matched by age, and each player will face the same opponent twice, once as white and once as black. All players are welcome, even if they are not current club members. You can buy a chess clock when you register. Medals will be awarded to the first-place winners in each age category, starting from five years old.
